Setting up a customer to be charged through GoCardless.


Firstly you will need to set up your GoCardless account, if you have not already done this, this link will explain how to do so https://support.squeeg.ee/a/solutions/articles/77000474849


If you have set up a GoCardless account, in order to set up a customer for payment: 

firstly go to the customer screen
select the customer you wish to invite to GoCardless, 
then press the 3 dots menu to the top right 

select direct debit:




Once you select that a new menu asking how you would like to send the invitation to GoCardless for this example we will use Email



 

Send the email and the customer will receive an invitation to join GoCardless.

The customer should receive an Email invitation:




Once the Email has been opened they will see the screen below, press the "setup now" button:



Once your customer clicks "setup now" it will take them to this page:


They then input their personal details then press "Set up Direct Debit"


It will ask them to confirm their details:


Once they have verified their details are correct, they just need to press the Confirm button.


Then they will have a confirmation screen, and should receive an email confirming their Direct Debit:

Once all these steps have been done, the customer will be setup on Direct Debit and GoCardless, and will appear on your GoCardless dashboard.
